This product is handmade, irregularities are part of its unique character. Handwoven Abr-band fabric typically shows a fine horizontal line approximately every two meters. If your cover has one of these lines, it is not a flaw but a testament to its hand-crafted nature. We ensure that each cushion cover contains no more than one such line.

THE STORY BEHIND
All our Bakhmal Cushion Covers are hand-dyed and hand-woven in Eastern Uzbekistan's Ferg'ana Valley. The Ikat (locally known as Abr-Band) industry is an important source of income for many local families and especially women. Many still cultivate their own Mulberry trees in their backyard to feed silk worms or spend their evenings weaving in their family homes. Our partner workshops offer stable employment. However, the industry is under heavy pressure from cheap mass-produced fake Ikat sold in the local Bazaars and exported worldwide.
